Learn symfony in 24 hours
To celebrate the release of 1.2 the Symfony community published 24 tutorials, one per day. They are meant to last no more than one hour each and will help developers learn Symfony by coding a real website from start to finish. The Symfony framework not only has great code and documentation, but also one of the most active communities around.
Jobeet Tutorials (2009):
- Day 1: Introduction
- Day 2: The Project
- Day 3: The Data Model
- Day 4: The Controller and the View
- Day 5: The Routing
- Day 6: More with the Model
- Day 7: Playing with the Category Page
- Day 8: The Unit Tests
- Day 9: The Functional Tests
- Day 10: The Forms
- Day 11: Testing your Forms
- Day 12: The Admin Generator
- Day 13: The User
- Day 14: The Lazy Day
- Day 15: Feeds
- Day 16: Web Services
- Day 17: Search
- Day 18: AJAX
- Day 19: Internationalization and Localization
- Day 20: The Plugins
- Day 21: The Design Day
- Day 22: The Cache
- Day 23: The Deployment
- Day 24: Another Look at symfony
Symfony has been my favorite framework for last 2 years. Similar to Jobeet, last year they published a same tutorial series for creating a question/answers site http://www.askeet.com/. I love symfony for its ease of us, documentation and community.
